A conservative syndicated columnist for the Washington Post Writers Group is said to be the leading candidate to co-host a show that would pair her with former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, reports the New York Post.

Kathleen Parker has been a contributing talker on MSNBC, CNN and a variety of news shows, and gained national attention for a September 2008 column in which she called vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin “out of her league” and called on her to leave the Republican ticket.

Parker and Spitzer’s show would go into the 8 p.m. ET time slot. CNN has not commented, but Parker told the Post, "I’ve been talking to [CNN], but there’s nothing to report."
