One ‘Friends’ Star Wishes for a Jump to the Big Screen Like ‘Sex and the City’

Since going off the air in 2004, there have been rumors about a possible "Friends" feature film, and now Courtney Cox has weighed in with her idea of what kind of film it should be, reports the Los Angeles Times.

She likes the way they’ve done the "Sex & the City" features.

"I wish we could do that with ‘Friends.’ The thing is, the characters from ‘Sex and the City’ hopped all over Manhattan. On ‘Friends,’ we were always stuck in the apartment and that coffeehouse."

Cox says that her friend and "Friends" co-star, Jennifer Aniston, " has a great idea for a movie," but Cox is skeptical that logistically it could happen. So she then told the Times, "I don’t think it’s going to happen. Would [series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman] want to write it? Because they’d have to be involved. I don’t know … a lot of things would have to break just right for it to work. But we’ve daydreamed about it."

Well, "Friends" fans, it sounds to us here at TVWeek like this is a job for…Facebook! More powerful than a locomotive! Faster than a speeding bullet! Yes, Facebook! Maybe if a gazillion fans show the proper interest it could happen…
