Turner Broadcasting has announced the promotion of one of its executives to senior vice president and strategic communications officer, a new position in the company, reports Multichannel News.

The company promoted Jeff Matteson, who was senior vice president of communications. He will be in charge of planning and directing all TBS messaging across its various networks and businesses.

Turner also announced that Misty Skedgell, vice president of corporate communications and corporate responsibility, will be the company’s chief spokesperson and hold the new title of senior vice president of corporate communications.
