Five Days After Firing Juan Williams, NPR Receives Bomb Threat

Oct 27, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Five days after sparking controversy by firing news analyst Juan Williams, NPR received a bomb threat on Monday, reports the Washington Post

The threat was sent via U.S. mail and was turned over to the FBI and local police, the story says. The letter didn’t reference Williams’ firing directly, but people at NPR said the timing and tone of the letter led them to believe it was sent after Williams was fired.

As previously reported, Williams was fired by NPR after making comments on "The O’Reilly Factor" on Fox News about people wearing Muslim garb.
