ABC has signed on the production company of the hit "Twilight" movie franchise, Temple Hill, to a two-year overall deal, reports Deadline.com.

The first project from the nearly five-year old Temple Hill company will be a remake for TV of "The Count of Monte Cristo," the famous Alexandre Dumas novel about a young man wrongfully imprisoned who vows revenge on his enemies.

In the TV version, the story will track a young woman who comes to the Hamptons to get revenge on the people who hurt her family, the story notes.

The project will be written by "Swingtown" creator Mike Kelley, and the project is executive produced by Kelley and Temple Hill founders Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen.
