Aretha Franklin Reportedly Has Pancreatic Cancer

Following undisclosed surgery last week, word has surfaced that Grammy Award-winning singing legend Aretha Franklin has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, the “Today Show” Web site and other media outlets are reporting.

Franklin is said to be in good spirits today, although she has reportedly canceled all appearances through May 2011.

Pancreatic cancer is known to be an aggressive form of cancer. The disease has taken the life of other stars, including Patrick Swayze and Michael Landon.

The "Queen of Soul" is 68 years old. Rolling Stone magazine declared her the No. 1 singer of all time.
