After months of speculation about his status at MSNBC, both the network and political reporter/anchorman David Shuster confirmed today that Shuster is no longer with the company, The Huffington Post reports.

MSNBC suspended Shuster indefinitely in April, reportedly because he had filmed a pilot for CNN. Shuster told the publication that he enjoyed his eight-plus years with the network and had only positive feelings about his experience.

"I never intended to humiliate or embarrass anyone at MSNBC, and I harbor no ill will or bad feelings towards anybody over there," he said.

In the months since his suspension, Shuster completed a master’s in public policy at Georgetown University, the article notes.
