One of the stars of "The Sopranos" became a blizzard hero to a stuck motorist in his West Village neighborhood in Manhattan, reports the New York Post’s Page Six.

Beefy actor James Gandolfini, who played Tony Soprano on the HBO hit, helped dig out a stranded motorist on Bedford Street, which was unplowed on Monday night, following Sunday’s storm. The actor also asked a local restaurant to change a $100 bill so that he could tip several other good Samaritans who joined in to help him dig out the car.

"It took him 45 minutes to get the car unstuck" with the assistance of other people, said the restaurant’s owner, Phil Casacell, the story notes. ""He then took the $20 bills to thank the guys who helped them out. He was a real gentleman."
