Spanish-Language Broadcaster Univision Upends News Division Leadership

Spanish-language broadcaster Univision is switching leadership in its news division, with its 26-year veteran Alina Falcón stepping down and journalist Isaac Lee joining as president of news, reports TVNewser.com.

Falcón, who had been in charge of both news and sports, will remain as a special advisor to the company, the story notes.

Lee, 39 and a native of Colombia, was most recently the founder and editor-in-chief of the magazine PODER, a business magazine targeted toward the U.S. Hispanic population, the story notes.

In addition, the company is placing Alexander "Sandy" Brown as president of sports. Brown, 48, was previously the chief executive of media representation firm Petry Holding, the story notes.
