A number of theories have received attention in the wake of the news that a suspect in the killing of noted Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen shot and killed himself when confronted by police, as previously reported.
The suicide fueled a range of theories based on the belief that the killing was a hit.
Marc Malkin, writing for E! Online, spotlights three of those theories:
1. Chasen may have been paying off a gambling debt for a friend and decided to stop paying.
2. A movie or art deal went bad, triggering speculation that someone in the industry might be behind the killing.
3. Some have theorized that Chasen had a secret lover, a situation that could have sparked trouble in any number of ways.
