ABC has picked up two drama pilots, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s The Live Feed blog.

"POE," from Warner Bros. and Lin Pictures, is a one-hour show that tracks writer Edgar Allan Poe, imagining him as an early detective as he solves mysteries in 19th century Boston, the story notes. Chris Hollier wrote the script and will be its supervising producer, with Dan Lin as executive producer, the story says.

"Pan Am," meanwhile, is a soapy drama focusing on stewardesses and pilots, written by Jack Orman of "ER," with Sid Ganis working as co-executive producer and Tommy Schlamme, Nancy Hult Ganis and Orman executive producing. Schlamme will direct the pilot.

The two drama pickups follow ABC’s announcement earlier this week that it has picked up two comedy pilots, “Work It,” from writers Andrew Reich and Ted Cohen, and “Lost and Found,” from Marisa Coughlan.
