One Big Surprise on List of 2010’s Most Influential TV Shows

The most influential television shows in 2010, as measured by Twitter mentions, aren’t so surprising except for what Klout.com calls "the dark horse of the list": the Fox News show "Red Eye."

"Red Eye With Greg Gutfeld" is a satirical talk show on Fox News that airs at 3 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday, covering topics from news to gossip. It ranked third on the list of influential TV shows measured by Twitter, just after "Lost" and "American Idol," according to Klout.com.

The rest of the top 10: “Glee,” “True Blood,” “Jersey Shore,” “Big Brother,” “Saturday Night Live,” “Project Runway” and “Mad Men.”

The site also lists the most influential people in 2010, with a few television personalities making the list. Coming in fourth is Glenn Beck, who follows Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and current host of TLC’s "Sarah Palin’s Alaska," the story notes. The top two influential people in 2010 were President Barack Obama and Justin Bieber.
