Showtime appears to have delivered a knockout blow to pay-TV giant HBO in the scuffle over rights to televise the hotly anticipated pay-per-view fight between Manny Pacquiao and “Sugar” Shane Mosley, reports SportsNewser.com.
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum reportedly has inked a deal with Showtime over HBO, with CBS promoting the fight by airing commercial spots for the telecast during prime-time programming as well as a preview that will air either on the Showtime or CBS prior to the bout.
This will be Pacquiao and Mosley’s first Showtime fight.
