Oprah Winfrey’s new OWN network got off to a good start, with an average of 1 million viewers for its first evening of prime-time programming on Saturday, reports the New York Daily News.

That’s an increase of almost 400% over the audience of Discovery Health, the network that OWN replaced, compared with a year earlier, the story says.

The debut of "Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes," which tracks Winfrey during the final season of her daytime talk show, averaged 1.16 million viewers, the story notes, while the second episode drew an average of 1.196 million viewers.
