NBC is giving up on one of its shows and pulling the plug, yanking the show from its Thursday night lineup in favor of a new project from former “Mad About You” star Paul Reiser, Entertainment Weekly reports in its Inside TV blog.
The network is giving an early heave-ho to “Perfect Couples,” which will be replaced by “The Paul Reiser Show” in the rotation starting April 14.
Reiser will play himself in the single-camera sitcom, with his wife played by Amy Landecker. Along with Reiser, Jonathan Shapiro is behind the show.
