"All My Children" has lured back a former cast member who has gone on to be a big name in Hollywood, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker blog.

The soap opera will bring back Josh Duhamel to reprise a role that earned him an Emmy for supporting actor in 2002, the story reports.

Duhamel, who went on from the soap to star in NBC’s "Las Vegas" and movies including "Transformers," will reprise his role as con artist Leo du Pres in an episode that will air in August, before the show’s final episode in September.

ABC canceled the soap, along with "One Life to Live,” in April. The character du Pres allegedly died in 2003, although his body was never found, leaving open the possibility that he could return.
