Marketer Pulls Ads From Raunchy Anti-Gay Talk Show as Stations Drop Program

Amid a campaign by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and the National Hispanic Media Coalition, AT&T has dropped advertising from the talk show "Jose Luis Sin Censura," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Two stations–WSVN-TV in Miami and KCTU-TV in Wichita, Kan.–have dropped the program, which has been called a Spanish-language equivalent of "The Jerry Springer Show," the story says.

GLAAD and NHMC have called attention to the program’s raunchy content, anti-gay slurs and shouting matches, and point out that only some of the language is bleeped.

The groups first filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission earlier this year, pointing out the show’s anti-gay and anti-Latino slurs, as well as female guests being part of fights and audience members being goaded to take part in "verbal and even physical attacks," the story notes.

The program is carried by Liberman Broadcasting’s Estrella TV on stations including KRCA-TV in Los Angeles. Liberman couldn’t be reached for comment, the article says.

  1. I think Liberman is the worst Spanish TV Station in the whole world.
They portrait Hispanic like the lowest people on hearth. Liberman is a Mexican Jew who doesn’t care about hispanic at all.
