NBCU Taps Veteran to Run Reality Operation

NBCUniversal has settled on a veteran television executive to run the company’s reality studio, which is currently known as Comcast Entertainment Studios, Multichannel News reports.

Steve Dolcemaschio, a longtime exec with E! Entertainment, gets the job of president of the studio, the report says.

The story reports: “Reporting directly to Bonnie Hammer, chairman of NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and Cable Studios, Dolcemaschio will oversee the production studio, which will be renamed in 2012. The studio currently produces shows for NBCU’s cable networks including E!’s ‘The Soup,’ ‘Fashion Police’ and ‘Ice Loves Coco,’ as well as The Style Network’s ‘Giuliana & Bill’ and GSN’s ‘Baggage.’”

Dolcemaschio will make the transition from his current job as chief operating officer of E! Entertainment over a period of several months, the story reports.
