A freshman police drama has been canceled, Deadline.com reports. The series, which premiered in July and airs on the cable network Lifetime, is “Against the Wall.”

The cancellation means that neither of the network’s new series will be back for a second season, the story points out. Lifetime canceled "The Protector" in September.

"Against the Wall" debuted with a "soft" 1.8 million viewers, while "The Protector" drew 1.9 million, the piece points out. Neither program demonstrated growth during their runs, the story adds.

“Against the Wall” stars Rachael Carpani as a Chicago detective who joins the Internal Affairs Division.
