“American Horror Story” season two spoiler alert … Ryan Murphy’s FX serial thriller heads into a second season that Murphy says will be “radically different” from the show’s first season, TVLine.com reports.

The show’s current leads, Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott, won’t be returning — and the house that’s the focus of the series won’t be either, the story reports.

The second season of the show will focus on a new setting and will feature a mostly new cast, Murphy says, according to the story.

"The second season of the show will [feature] a brand new home or building to haunt,” he said on a conference call with reporters, the piece notes. "It will also have a new overriding theme.”

Murphy added that any returning actors will play "completely new characters," the story says, adding that if Britton and McDermott return, they won’t be series regulars.

An announcement about the new cast and storyline will be made in February, the article adds.

  1. Hmm, well that is some rather interesting news. I’ll be sad not to see McDermott as much though, but am excited for season 2! This show is awesome.

  2. Wow, bummer…sounds like the the beginning of the iceberg hitting the Titanic. Guess FX couldn’t come up with the $ to keep the cast on that made it a success, lol.
