An actress known for a string of appearances in popular feature films appears to be the leading candidate to star opposite Charlie Sheen in FX’s "Anger Management," reports Deadline.com.

Selma Blair, known for roles in “Hellboy,” “Legally Blonde,” “Cruel Intentions” and other movies, would play Sheen’s therapist, who will be a potential love interest for his character. Blair also is a veteran of TV series, including playing Zoe in The WB’s “Zoe” and starring as Kim in NBC’s “Kath & Kim.”

Other actresses are also being tested for the role, including Jenica Bergere and Elaine Hendrix, the piece adds.

“Anger Management” will reportedly feature three female lead roles. "No Ordinary Family" star Julie Benz is up for the role of Sheen’s ex-wife, along with "Work It" actress Kate Reinders, "In Plain Sight" co-star Nicole Hiltz and "Becker" actress Shawnee Smith, the story notes.
