A broadcast network that has come under fire from critics over diversity issues will air the 43rd NAACP Image Awards, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker blog.

The ceremony will be televised live Feb. 17 by NBC, which has drawn criticism in recent years for reportedly failing to increase diversity on its prime-time schedule, the story says. The event previously aired on Fox for several years, the piece adds.

Nominations for the Image Awards will be announced Thursday, honoring achievements in television, music, film and literature, the story says.
