March Madness has helped book $60 million in digital ad sales for Turner and CBSSports.com, a number that’s cited as "a sign of progress" for digital revenues, reports Advertising Age.
The digital ad sales figure for the NCAA games is nearly double the $32 million sold for the 2009 tournament, the story points out. The $60 million figure doesn’t include revenue from the one-time $3.99 fee that the companies charged for access to watching the games on mobile devices and online, the piece adds.
