CBS Comedy Finds Quick Replacement After Bryan Greenberg’s Departure

Apr 5, 2012  •  Post A Comment

The sudden exit of Bryan Greenberg as the male lead in CBS’s untitled Greg Malins/Greg Berlanti comedy project, which we reported earlier today, turned into an opportunity for an actor whose NBC sitcom appears to be doomed.

Deadline.com reports that David Walton of “Bent,” which wrapped up its short and low-rated freshman season on NBC last night, has taken over the CBS role. He will star in the pilot opposite JoAnna Garcia.

Technically, Walton’s CBS gig is listed as a guest appearance, the story notes, and is in second position to his job on “Bent.”

The untitled CBS project is also known as “Oh F**k It’s You,” the story notes.

  1. a: change the title – no more * in titles 2) I hope JoAnna well, since Reba, her shows haven’t done well, though I liked them all. c) I wish Bent had a better showing – one of the few shows that I liked the whole cast. Never had a chance – maybe CBS which generally keeps shows longer, will be good to these actors.
