CBS Comedy Project Casts Lead

The second of two lead roles has been cast in a new CBS comedy project, Deadline.com reports. Getting the role in the pilot “Friend Me” is "Super Bad" co-star Christopher Mintz-Plasse, the story reports.

The role marks the actor’s first major television role, the story notes.

The project focuses on Evan, played by Mintz-Plasse, and Rob, played by Nicholas Braun, who move from Indiana to Los Angeles to start working at Groupon, the story notes.

Mintz-Plasse’s previous TV credit was a guest role on "Party Down," the Starz comedy, the story adds.
