The Webby Awards announced who will host this year’s 16th Annual Webbys, set to take place May 21, TheWrap.com reports. The ceremony will be hosted by comedian Patton Oswalt.

Oswalt is known for roles on CBS’s "The King of Queens" and Showtime’s "United States of Tara," and has a Comedy Central special, "Finest Hour," set to premiere April 21. He also recently received rave reviews for his performance in the Charlize Theron feature film “Young Adult.”

In a statement, David-Michel Davies, executive director of the Webby Awards, said: "We are really excited for Patton Oswalt to bring his comedic genius to the Webbys. Patton is the rare comedian who is just as funny online as on a stage. As we push the boundaries of integrating the audience at home with the live show we think Patton is uniquely suited to be this year’s Webby host."

The Webby Awards will be live-streamed on www.webbyawards.com from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on May 21 at 5:30 p.m. ET.
