Shakeup on CW’s ‘Supernatural’: New Showrunner Joins Drama as It Awaits Word on Renewal

Apr 5, 2012  •  Post A Comment

With no word yet on a renewal for "Supernatural," the CW drama has tapped a new co-showrunner, Deadline.com reports.

Sera Gamble is stepping down from that role to focus on development, the story notes, and Jeremy Carver, who is co-showrunner of Syfy’s "Being Human," has been tapped to fill Gamble’s shoes.

Given that "Supernatural" is a strong ratings performer for the CW, it’s considered likely that the show will return in the fall, the piece adds.

For Carver, the move is a return to the program, where he served as co-producer during the 2009-10 season before leaving for "Being Human," the story notes.

  1. If I could only watch one hour of TV a week I would watch Supernatural. This is a GREAT show. Mainly because of all the people involved. In front of the camera and behind the scenes.

  2. I agree. It is a fantastic show that doesn’t get enough credit.
