An investigative reporter at Seattle station KIRO-TV broke a story that reportedly involves U.S. Secret Service agents interacting with strippers and prostitutes in El Salvador, the TV station, owned by Cox Enterprises, reports.

Reporter Chris Halsne interviewed a U.S. government subcontractor who said he worked extensively with a Secret Service advance team in San Salvador in March 2011.

The story reports: “The eyewitness says he joined about a dozen Secret Service agents and a few U.S. military specialists at a strip club in San Salvador a few days before President Obama and his family arrived in El Salvador to meet with its new president, Mauricio Funes.”

The source indicated that team members drank heavily and received sexual favors for cash after gaining admission to the club’s VIP section.

“Although our source says he told the agents it was a ‘really bad idea’ to take the strippers back to their hotel rooms, several agents bragged that they ‘did this all the time’ and ‘not to worry about it,’” the story reports. “Our source says at least two agents had escorts check into their rooms.”

The report notes: “These alleged incidents in El Salvador occurred a full year prior to recent revelations that Secret Service agents used prostitutes in Cartagena, Colombia, on a presidential trip this month.”

The station notes that the investigation is fast-developing and that it is preparing a series of reports for air starting this evening.

  1. What’s the big deal? We had a two-term President who received a sordid deed during a phone call in the Oval Office! And now he’s a beloved, respected ex-President, right?

  2. Your right…and of coarse he was followed in office by a president that screwed the entire country.

  3. (Cue the “rim shot!”)
