“American Idol’s” Nigel Lythgoe is shopping a new talk show built around five prominent female Los Angeles news anchors, Deadline.com reports.

One of the anchors, Dorothy Lucey, talked about the project during an appearance on “KTLA Morning News,” also discussing her ouster from Fox L.A. station KTTV’s “Good Day LA” after 17 years. The new show is “Good News Girls.”

The other women involved in the project are Wendy Burch, Pat Harvey, Christine Devine and Ana Garcia.

The women have a charity of the same name, the story notes.
