A canceled comedy series is under consideration as a television movie for HBO, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

The pay-cable channel is having early discussions about reviving its own “Bored to Death” as a feature, the story notes. The series stars Ted Danson, Jason Schwartzman and Zach Galifianakis.

HBO has talked about turning shows into TV movies before, with "Carnivale," "Deadwood" and "The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency," the story says, noting that none of those projects materialized.

"Bored to Death" is based on creator Jonathan Ames’ memoirs and debuted in 2009. It was canceled in December after its third season.
