Changes are taking place in the top executive ranks of a major media agency, Advertising Age reports.

At MediaVest USA the agency’s longtime content-creation boss, Brian Terkelsen, has been named CEO.

Bill Tucker, meanwhile, moves to an SMG-wide position, president of global client operations.

SMG CEO Laura Desmond said the moves underscore the importance of content and partnerships in the future of marketing.

In an interview with Ad Age, Desmond said: "Media and communications is radically changing and the big pivot point for the next three to five years will be around data-driven marketing, content and working holistically with partners and clients to design experiences that consumers want to participate in. Brian weaves together … a keen sense of how to create partnerships and deals, mastery of content and an understanding that it’s [both] traditional and nontraditional messaging."
