Amid speculation about the reasons behind the death of Sylvester Stallone’s son Sage Moonblood Stallone, the New York Daily News reports that one family member is pointing the finger at Sage’s famous father.

“Sage’s cousin, 18-year-old Edd Filiti, posted an angry message on Facebook Friday that suggested that the ‘Rocky’ actor himself was at least partially to blame for Sage’s death,” the story reports. “In the posts, obtained by Celebuzz but since removed, Filiti explained that the elder Stallone had essentially cut Sage, 36, out of his life, a move that devastated the filmmaker and may have led to his early demise.”

According to Celebuzz, Filiti wrote: "What did he do wrong, say happy birthday. Neither you [Stallone’s wife Jennifer Flavin] or he could return a phone call, which is all he wanted, his father.

"I know you don’t care what happened, but you’ll care when you’re squirming under the burning magnifying glass of public opinion. You people make me f—— sick."

Sage Stallone’s body was found Friday in his Hollywood Hills home — reportedly surrounded by bottles of prescription pills. As we reported earlier today, Sylvester Stallone has asked that the media and others honor Sage Stallone’s memory by refraining from speculating about his death.

The report adds: “Police officials did not specify what type of pills were found, and whether or not they played a part in Sage’s death, though they said the death was likely an accident since no suicide note was found, and foul play was not suspected.”
