Former Laker (and Current Reality Star) Returns to L.A. — But Not to the Lakers

A former L.A. Laker whose basketball woes during the past season have been linked by some to his participation in the E! reality show “Khloe & Lamar” is headed back to Los Angeles, the L.A. Times reports.

Lamar Odom, the husband of Khloe Kardashian, struggled after being dealt last year to the Dallas Mavericks. Some observers speculated that his work on “Khloe & Lamar” was a distraction from his basketball career.

The New York Daily News reported in April that the reality show would end after its second season as part of a plan to enable Odom to concentrate on basketball. Other reports said a third season was in the works. Season two ended its run in May.

Now Odom is headed back to L.A. as part of a four-team trade that sends him to the Clippers. Other teams involved in the deal are Dallas, Utah and Houston, with the arrangement also sending Mo Williams to the Jazz.

Odom was originally drafted by the Clippers, back in 1999.

  1. He showed his true character. Immature, childish, spineless piece of crap. No work ethic, no professionalism, no integrity. A fraud, a phony. A 7 foot bag of unadulterated wuss.
