NBC’s 10 owned-and-operated stations are doubling the size of the contingent they’re sending to the Summer Olympics, B&C reports. The stations are sending 25 reporters, editors, producers and photographers to the London Games, or more than double the number that covered the 2008 Games in Beijing, the story says.

"All of our stations will be covering the local athletes and angles important to their viewers," said NBC Owned Television Stations President Valari Staab.

The stations will provide live reports from London in their morning, afternoon and late newscasts, including local angles, the story notes. NBC owns stations in the top three markets — New York, Chicago and Los Angeles — along with other major markets.
