Style Moves: Cable Net Gets Off-Net Rights to Drama Series, Renews Reality Show, Greenlights Spinoff

Style Media has announced a number of programming moves, Deadline.com reports. Among them, the company acquired off-network rights to the CW drama “Gossip Girl” from Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution.

The series will reportedly begin airing Aug. 15 at 8 p.m. on Style.

“The one-hour series, which will launch its sixth and final season on the CW in the fall, will air from 8-11 p.m. on Wednesdays and the network will air a marathon on Labor Day,” the story notes.

The company also announced a renewal for the reality show “Big Rich Texas.” The show’s third season will bow Oct. 7.

The reality franchise will be expanding with the spinoff “Big Rich Georgia,” scheduled to premiere in early 2013.

“Style also announced that new series ‘Betsey + Lulu,’ starring fashion designer Betsey Johnson and her daughter Lulu, begins filming next month and will premiere early next year,” the report adds. “Meanwhile, current series ‘Giuliana & Bill’ is set to return October 2 and ‘Tia & Tamera’ on October 22.
