Three U.S. senators will have guest-starring roles in an episode of "Parks and Recreation" this fall, reports The New York Times’ Arts Beat.

The comedy, which stars Amy Poehler as an Indiana government employee who gets elected to Pawnee’s city council, will feature Barbara Boxer of California, Olympia J. Snowe of Maine and John McCain of Arizona, the story notes.

The three senators shot a cocktail party scene with Poehler and her co-star Adam Scott at the Hay-Adams Hotel in Washington, the piece notes. The episode will air either as the show’s first or second installment of the new season.

  1. Nice to see things are getting taken care of in Washington DC. Things are going so well, that everyone has TV face-time.
With the economy going so strong, we needn’t even worry about Senators doing their jobs.
