ABC has placed orders for additional episodes of a number of series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The network ordered two additional episodes each of "Modern Family," "Grey’s Anatomy" and "The Middle," the story reports.

ABC also ordered one additional episode of “Castle,” the report notes.

With the latest order, the season totals for “Modern Family,” “Grey’s” and “The Middle” will be 24 episodes each, while “Castle’s” total rises to 23.

ABC also ordered two additional scripts each for two freshman dramas — "666 Park Avenue" and "Last Resort."
