The former management company for Steven Tyler has sued his current attorney, alleging she botched his contract negotiation with "American Idol," according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Hollywood, Esq.

Kovac Media Group filed a suit Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court claiming that entertainment attorney Dina LaPolt, who was brought in to help Tyler negotiate a new "Idol" deal at the end of last season, ended up poisoning the talks, the story notes.

The suit claims that LaPolt botched the talks so badly that "Idol" producers ended up offering no raise to the Aerosmith frontman, leading to Tyler’s departure from the singing competition.

While the lawsuit doesn’t mention Tyler by name, it clearly references him, the story says. The lawsuit is seeking damages in excess of $8 million. LaPolt didn’t return a call to her office, the story adds.
