CBS has bought a comedy from "Smurfs" writers Jay Scherick and David Ronn, reports Deadline.com. The untitled multicamera project is about a blended family, focusing on two very different brothers who are forced to move their families into the same house.

Scherick and Ronn, who co-wrote Sony Pictures Animation’s 2011 hit feature “The Smurfs” and a sequel set for release in 2013, are writing and executive producing the comedy, from Sony Pictures TV, where the pair have a blind script deal, the piece notes.

Their TV credits include “Caroline in the City” and “Spin City.”
