TV and radio personality Bam Margera — a star of the “Jackass” movies and MTV’s “Viva La Bam” and “Bam’s Unholy Union” — has been trying to explain a tweet that included a photo of himself holding a gun to the head of a puppy, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The gun is reportedly fake, but the photo included the message, “Penny pooped in my bed. Not too fond of that. If she poops one more time she goes Bye Byes.”

“In an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, 33-year-old Magera said the gun was fake, and that he was unaware of a rise in animal-abuse cases in the area,” the story reports. “’I think those people need to go down,’ he said, adding that he would’ve never posted the photo if he’d known about the recent instances of abuse. ‘Just hurting another animal is rude, crude and more.’”

  1. Hmmm. Shades of ‘National Lampoon’ Magazine.
Remember “Buy this magazine or we’ll shoot this dog”?
Well, it was 40 years ago…

  2. I remember National Lampoon’s stunt. It was in a time when people could take a joke and the US wasn’t sooo politically correct.
