NBC has bought a project based on the life of a television personality who already has a reality series on NBC’s cable sibling Bravo, reports Deadline.com. The new project focuses on designer and stylist Rachel Zoe, whose series “The Rachel Zoe Project” has been on Bravo since 2008.

Zoe and her husband, Rodger Berman, are executive producing the project, while writer and performer Aseem Batra will write and Emmy winner Todd Holland will direct, the story notes.

The report notes that shows based on the lives of television personalities are in vogue this development season, with ABC working on a comedy based on Tyra Banks, for example. Other shows are in the works from Kate Walsh of “Private Practice” and Ty Burrell of “Modern Family.”
