Police Investigating Home Invasion Report at Ashton Kutcher’s House — But He May Have Been Punk’d

Police are investigating the report of a home invasion at "Two and a Half Men" star Ashton Kutcher’s house, which appeared to be a hoax, reports TMZ.com.

Law enforcement was alerted via teletext — used by deaf people — about an alleged home invasion at the star’s home, with the message saying shots had been fired and people were hurt or dead, according to the story.

While there were three people at the home, they were working on Kutcher’s house and no one was injured or dead, the article notes. The police are now considering the message to be a case of "swatting," where a caller reports a phony crime to 911.

Kutcher wasn’t home at the time of the alleged incident.
