The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced the recipients of the 64th annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards — including a Lifetime Achievement Award for Manolo Romero, managing director of Olympic Broadcasting Services.

A number of tech firms are being honored for achievements in areas including video ad insertion, interactive program guides, real-time presentation of TV content to mobile devices, multiroom DVR and hi-def broadcast video.

The presentations will take place Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, during the International Consumer Electronics Show.
