A popular talk-show host will receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, one of the top honors bestowed by the Kennedy Center, Zap2it reports.

Ellen DeGeneres will receive the award tonight, with a broadcast of the ceremony set to air Oct. 30 of PBS stations, the story reports.

DeGeneres joins a list of recipients of the award that includes Bill Cosby, Whoopi Goldberg and Tina Fey.

“The prize is meant to honor Mark Twain’s satirical style that offered up plenty of social commentary, and DeGeneres has done just that,” the story reports. “A number of big names will be on hand in Washington, D.C., to deliver tribute performances to honor DeGeneres, including Jane Lynch, Jimmy Kimmel, John Krasinski, John Leguizamo, Steve Harvey, Lily Tomlin, Jason Mraz, Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes.”
