Joseph "Joe" Jackson, the patriarch of the Jackson family and the manager of the Jackson 5, has suffered a stroke, reports Reuters.
Jackson was recovering in a Las Vegas hospital and is said to be dong well, according to a family friend. The 83-year-old was admitted to the hospital after experiencing weakness. He has a history of strokes, according to the friend, Brian Oxman.
Jackson reportedly began feeling weak while walking in a park near his home Wednesday, and was later admitted to the hospital.
"He was talking fine. He sounded excellent to me," said Oxman, who is the former attorney for Joe Jackson’s son Michael Jackson.
