NBC has bought a comedy about a group of Generation Y friends whose lives have been affected by the Internet, reports Deadline.com.
The project, called "iQuit," focuses on five friends seven years after graduating from UC Berkeley. One of them has made a fortune selling an app, while another is famous on YouTube and a third has had his life ruined by Facebook, the story notes.
The project comes from "Jake in Progress" creator Austin Winsberg, Universal Cable Productions and Doug Liman and David Bartis’ studio-based Hypnotic.
