One Day After Shakeup, NBC’s ‘Today’ Names New Executive Producer

Just one day after the news broke that Jim Bell was leaving NBC’s morning show “Today” to work on the network’s Olympics coverage, the network tapped senior broadcast producer Don Nash to executive produce the program, TVNewser.com reports.

Nash will report to Alex Wallace, who replaced Bell earlier this week as executive in charge of the program, as previously reported.

Nash, who started out as an NBC page in Burbank, is a 23-year veteran of "Today." He has held his current role since 2005.

NBC shook up "Today" management this week after a rough year, replacing Bell with Wallace after the show lost 10 consecutive weeks to ABC rival "Good Morning America" in the key demo of viewers 25 to 54.
