One of the stars of the landmark 1977 feature film “Star Wars” — which eventually became known as “Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope” — wants to be a part of “Episode 7,” now in development at Disney.

Carrie Fisher, who starred as the iconic Princess Leia in "Star Wars" and its two sequels, told TMZ.com that she would love to have a role in "Episode 7," which is due in 2015.

Asked whether she would take a role, Fisher replied, "Yes. Sure. Wouldn’t you?" "Episode 7" will follow "Return of the Jedi" in the “Stars Wars” timeline, which would make Leia older in the film, the piece adds.

Fisher also noted that she believes George Lucas was lowballed with Disney’s $4.05 billion purchase of the “Star Wars” franchise, saying he should have received $500 million more, the piece adds.
