Fox News Severs Ties With Sarah Palin

Jan 28, 2013  •  Post A Comment

Fox News has ended its relationship with former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and it is reportedly unclear whose choice it was, according to The New York Times’ Media Decoder.

The parting after three years was described as amicable, the piece adds. Palin, who will no longer have exposure to the network’s millions of viewers, was last seen on the network in mid-December.

She was negotiating a new contract as of last week, with her original deal ending this month. Her original contract was reportedly worth $1 million a year, and Palin had a small TV studio constructed in her home in Wasilla, Alaska, the piece notes.

Tensions had arisen between Palin and Fox News, with Palin complaining on Facebook last year about the network’s decision to cancel her appearances during the third day of the Republican National Convention, the story notes. She didn’t post comments on her Facebook page about her parting from the network.

  1. One small step for man, one giant leap toward common sense.
Cry not for the diva, she will still make far more money than she is worth. re:PTBarnum

  2. Now, if FOX really wanted to raise their status, they would also “part ways” with Roger Ailes and Mr. Rove.

  3. Peter, I’m afraid that world peace is more likely to “break out” than the Wizards of Id fading into obscurity. After all, to them it is power of the party before country.
