On the heels of the recent departure of a high-profile correspondent for ABC News, another correspondent is exiting the news division. TVNewser reports that Showtime’s "60 Minutes Sports" has hired away ABC’s Sharyn Alfonsi as a contributor.

The move comes less than a month after the departure of White House correspondent Jake Tapper, who announced his move to CNN in December, as previously reported.

Alfonsi served as a correspondent and anchor for CBS News before joining ABC in 2008. CBS News’ "60 Minutes" co-produces "60 Minutes Sports" for Showtime.

Alfonsi’s work at ABC included a year-long investigation for the report “Generation Meds” along with work on the “Made in America” series, TVNewser notes.
